Choosing a career in phlebotomy is a big decision, and understanding the costs involved is essential for making the best choice for your future. At Texas School of Phlebotomy, we believe in transparency and are committed to giving you all the information you need upfront. In this post, we’ll break down the cost of our phlebotomy course, what’s included in the tuition, and options to make it more accessible.

Tuition Cost

The full cost of our phlebotomy program is $2,000. This fee covers comprehensive hands-on training, which prepares you for both the national certification exam and a rewarding career in phlebotomy. The registration fee, tuition, textbook, and lab supplies are all included in this cost.

What’s Included in the Phlebotomy Course Cost?

Here’s what you can expect to be covered in your tuition:

  • Hands-On Training: Our phlebotomy course is designed to be practical and skill-focused, providing students with extensive lab time to develop proficiency.
  • Certification Exam Preparation: You’ll receive in-depth preparation and practice for the national certification exam, so you feel confident and ready.
  • Materials and Resources: Tuition includes access to necessary training materials, including lab supplies and learning aids.
  • Career Support: In addition to the training itself, we offer resume assistance, interview coaching, and connections to potential employers in your area.

Payment Options

We understand that investing in education can be challenging, and we offer flexible payment options to make the process easier. Here are a few options we provide:

  • Payment Plans: For students who prefer to break down their payments, we offer an INTEREST-FREE payment plan with an initial deposit and weekly or bi-weekly installments.

Since you’re paying out of pocket with a payment plan, you’ll receive a discount of $800 making the course cost $1,200.

  • Pay in full: The cost is $1,000.
  • Early Registration Discounts: We occasionally offer discounts for early registrants. Check our website or contact admissions to learn about current offers.
  • Military and Veteran Discounts: We’re proud to support those who have served. Ask about our discounts for active military, veterans, and their spouses.
  • We accept MyCAA (Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts) and the TWC WIOA / ETP (Texas Workforce Commission Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act / Eligible Training Provider) programs. Contact our admissions office for more details on how these programs can help with your tuition.
  • We are also willing to work with any scholarship programs or other assistance organizations to help you go to class and start your new career.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Phlebotomy Course Costs

What if I miss a payment?

  • We understand that sometimes life happens. If you’re unable to make a scheduled payment, contact our admissions office as soon as possible, and we’ll work with you on a solution. However, if you miss a payment without notifying us, a $50 late fee will apply.

Are there any other fees I should be aware of?

  • Each student is responsible for purchasing a set of red scrubs, a one-time expense. Additionally, you’ll need a Wi-Fi-capable device for class, such as a laptop or tablet/iPad. Phones can work but aren’t ideal due to the smaller screen size, which may make it harder to view course materials.
  • The national certification exam is not included in the cost of the course. Because certification is optional in Texas, Students can choose whether to pursue it. Our course will fully prepare you to succeed on the certification exam if you decide to take it.
